The inks for Roland printers are specific to each machine. The Roland Eco-Solvent Max Ink 220cc - ESL3 in CMYK is specifically for the BN-20. However, the white ink on the BN20 is the is Roland Eco-Solvent Max Ink 220cc - ESL4. All other models of the printer use Roland Eco-Solvent Max Ink 220cc - ESL4 inks. The the formulation of the inks are different so it will impact the printing process and print head. It is not recommended to install inks that are not compatible with the machine. The printer is designed to recognize the incorrect cartridges and will reject them.
