What are the metal and acrylic coating for and how are they used? Do you apply them to the item/blank or the print?

Metal and Acrylic are not capable of adhering UV ink without first being treated. The metal and acrylic coating are designed to improve the adhesion of the UV inks onto those surfaces. It would be applied to the object, prior to printing direct to object.
