The xCover protection plan overlaps the current manufacturer's warranty. The manufacturer's warranty would be in place for manufacturer's defects and issues covered under the standard warranty. The xCover protection plan offers enhanced coverage against incidental damage, such as user error, liquid spills, etc. The 3 year warranty would extend one year past the manufacturer's 2 year warranty.
