How thick can materials to embroider be?

When embroidering with the PE900, its best to use materials that are less than 2mm (1/16 inch) thick, and always using a stabilizer material. Any fabrics thicker than 2 mm (1/16 inch) risk putting extra pressure on the needle and might cause it to break.
