The max embroidery size for the Brother SE700 is 4" x 4". It cannot use a 5" x 7" hoop. If you want a dual function sewing and embroidery machine that can up to 5" x 7", we recommend the Brother SE2000 or the embroidery only Brother PE900, which also has a 5" x 7" hoop size.
