Unfortunately, this embroidery machine would not be able to embroidery directly onto hard shell hats. The hoops for this embroidery machine are meant for flat fabrics, and do not have a hoop to support baseball or trucker hats. If you are interested in a machine that can do hard shell hats, we recommend our listings for the Brother PRS100 or the BAi machines.
