Unfortunately, the PE900 does not have the proper hoops to embroider on hat shell hats. However, you can embroider soft hats or hat patches with the PE900, using the standard flat hoop to hold the soft hat or patch. To use your own embroidery design files, you would need to connect via Artspira or via USB drive. If you are interested in a machine that can do hard shell hats, you can look at the Brother PRS100 or the BAi machines.
