You can embroider onto towels, as long as there is enough stabilizer (water soluable on top of the fabric, regular stabilizer under the fabric) when using the magnetic hoop. As for longer names, you can adjust the size of any name or text in Artspira, to make it fit within the 4"x4" embroidery area.
