The Brother SE2000 can embroider soft shell hats or any soft hat that can be placed into the flat hoops. However, for hard shell hats (baseball caps, trucker hats, etc), the SE2000 is not properly equipped to embroider directly onto the hat. We suggest for hard shell hat embroidery, the Brother PRS100 or the BAi Embroidery machine line.
